A-G’s report: FARM Care assistance not provided to ministry

THE Auditor General noted $2.3m worth of FARM Care assistance approvals were not provided by the Agriculture Ministry.

FARM Care was introduced by Government to assist farmers affected by Tropical Cyclones Keni and Josie in 2018 with Vodafone Fiji providing topped-up M-Paisa cards to all recipients.

The Auditor General’s report on Economic Services until 31st July 2018 noted the “absence of vendor approvals for Farm Care” worth $2.3m”.
