ATTORNEY General and Economy Minister Aiyaz Sayed- Khaiyum told Parliament this evening that analysis and contributions by the Opposition lacked merit.

In his right of reply on the 2018/2019 Budget, Mr Sayed- Khaiyum said everything that the Opposition did lacked credibility.

“Therefore, their analysis of the budget is simply driven by political considerations,” he said.

“How can you object to a budget that allows increase in maternity leave? How can you object to a budget that introduces paternity leave?

“Madam Speaker, this is the point that they have come to this debate without any evidence based on neither evidence nor facts.”
