IT would be daring to say that the Blues social media pages must be every Fijian’s favourite- at least for those who follow Super Rugby Pacific.

The Blues have for the past three seasons successfully taunted Fijian fans with friendly banters that have garnered a lot of attention and engagement.

A simple post captioned; ‘Taki’, ‘Yadra Fiji’, ‘Kui Blues Kui, to the song choice, ‘Waimanu Kui’, the Blues have cracked the code in getting Fijians hooked on their posts.

The man behind the keyboard, Tane Wolfgramm who is the club’s social media and digital content manager shared how it all started.

“The Blues has a really strong history here in Fiji so it started just from that. There’s so many Blues players from past and present who have connections here and we just wanted to build on top of that.

“It’s social, its a space where you can have a little bit of fun, its a space where Fijians are very active and we ourselves are very active online as well, so it was important for us to buy into that whole behaviour. It’s been really enjoyable, Fijian people are so vibrant and active online, so it’s been really fun for us to do that with you guys,” Wolfgramm said.

The banters signify a connection deeper than rugby.

Wolfgramm has left a special reminder to all their ‘original’ fans.

“We all know whose fans you were before the Drua. Rupeni Caucaunibuca, Joe Rokocoko, Joeli Vidiri, all these guys so when you come in Friday night know what jersey you’d be wearing underneath the Drua jersey,” he joked.
