Rambisessar Chaudhary Memorial Primary School teachers organised a Term 1 inter-house competition last week for their students.
The Term 1 inter-house was the first of its kind for the school. The event is to allow students to enjoy each other’s company through a fun sports program.
The school’s headteacher, Sanita Lal said they divided the students into four house for the inter-house competition.
“The students turned up in their house colours and participated in different sort of events,” Ms Lal said.
“It was good to see that a lot of parents attended the inter-house competition to support their children.
“We would like to see more of these in the future so that more students have a chance to participate in sporting activities.
“It’s not only a fun day for the students but for their teachers and parents too.”
She said the school will now have the inter-house competition every term.
“We also have the inter-primary competition in Week 4 of Term 2. The school’s Under 14 soccer team are defending champions, so we hope to maintain that,” she said.
“We have never participated in the Chow Games so that is part of our plan as well, to get the school to participate in a few events.”
