Humility has been the key virtue emphasised by Weightlifting Fiji head coach and father Henry Elder to his son Nehemiah, ahead of the Pacific Mini Games in Palau at the end of this month.

Elder said while his preparations have been progressing well and has been a great year for him after collecting a myriad of accolades, he shared how he told Nehemiah to keep his feet on the ground.

“You always have to understand that every single person is a creation of God, and God regards us as equals,” he emphasised.

The same message has also been relayed to other eight lifters travelling to Palau with its four officials.

Meanwhile, the Pacific Mini Games will be held from June 29 to July 9 in the Palauan city of Koror.
