A memorandum of understanding has been signed by the Pacific Specialist Healthcare (PSH Hospitals) Foundation and the Great Council of Chiefs for the council to become a member of the foundation’s advisory board.
The event also saw the introduction of the first valve patient, Ilaitia Tuitatava, who was endorsed by the GCC for a heavily-subsidised medical grant from the foundation which was a provision of the MoU.
The foundation is PSH’s recently launched philanthropic arm.
The agreement was signed by Tui Namosi and GCC deputy chairman Ratu Suliano Matanitobua and the PSH founder and CEO Parvish Kumar on Monday.
Ratu Suliano said the partnership was a visionary move toward the empowerment of the iTaukei and all Fijians with access to high-quality, compassionate and affordable healthcare.
