CFL launched Fiji’s first news portal website fijivillage.com in 1998. The site was initially aimed at delivering news and live streaming of our radio stations to Fijians living cross the world but increasingly it has developed a huge local audience as well. fijivillage.com is a subscriber website and currently averages an impressive 93,000 unique users, 343,000 visits or sessions, and 1.3 million page views per month.

The experience of putting together fijivillage.com meant that we were able to develop a team of web designers and graphic artists.

We took this further, says Mr Jackson, when CFL took on the job of selling cinema advertising for the Damodar Cinema group under the CFL CinemADs banner. So now the CFL team produce a complete range of audio visual forms of advertising right through to television commercials.

People can also view the work of the design team on CFL’s facebook pages which regularly feature videos about station events and client activities.

“Our aim is to deliver a complete marketing package on the air, on line and in the cinemas,” says Doris Southwick, CFL’s director of sales.
