Bikes on show

THE country’s motorbike community got together in Suva yesterday to display their bikes and promote the upcoming Mission Impossible movie.

More than 45 motorbikes were on display at Damodar City for what was described a great show.

Damodar Group of Companies chief executive officer Div Damodar said it was the first time that a bike show of this sort was held in Fiji.

Mr Damodar said it was also to promote the upcoming Mission Impossible.

“We are very proud of the bike show today as this is one of the events that will be in our calendar events next year.

“This is something great and we are looking forward to a bigger show next year,” Mr Damodar said.

Show organiser Rodney Fong said the show was to create awareness on motorcycle road safety.

Mr Fong dedicated the show to the Government for investing into the national roads.

“Before we didn’t have a lot of bikes on our roads because of the road condition. The bikers would love to ride on good, smooth roads and we must give credit to the Government for this,” Mr Fong said.

He said the show was enjoyed by all and hoped for a better show next year. The co-sponsors for the show are Darmodar Event Cinemas, Coke Zero, Vodafone, Asco Motors and Fiji Bikes Assoiation.
