APENISA Tuiba starred for Sila Central School, slotting all three penalties and a drop goal in their 12-3 feat against Queen Victoria School in the final round of pool play prior to the quarter-finals of the Coke Zero Easter Zone Secondary Schools Rugby Union.
Sila Central were the first to register on the score board after Tuiba successfully kicked a penalty, giving them the lead 3-0. QVS levelled the points at 3-3 in the 23rd minute of play.
In the second half Tuiba secured two penalties and a dropgoal, finalising the score line of 12-3 with both teams failing to score a try.
Sila Central prinicipal and Rugby coach, Mesake Tukai said QVS seemed to had reserved their full potential during play.
“I think they are waiting for the playoffs. It almost seemed as if that was their second string team, otherwise the game was good,” he said.
Competition resumes again tomorrow with the U16 and U17 grades to play their final round of pool play to determine who makes it to the playoffs between St Johns College from Ovalau and Ratu Kadavulevu School.
