Countdown begins for boxing promotion

The countdown has officially begun for the highly anticipated ZEG Kings Boxing Promotion event, set to take place on July 19 at the Vodafone Arena in Suva.

With a total of 22 fighters prepared to compete, excitement is building for what promises to be an action-packed night of boxing.

At the official launch on Tuesday, Fiji Boxing Commission Chair Adi Narayan expressed excitement for the return of Kings Promoter Naroon Buksh and thanked him for his dedication to promoting the sport.

“Four title bouts are set to take place, with the main event featuring Junior Binnu Singh facing off against Runqi Zhou of Australia for the inaugural WBA Oceania Super Bantam Weight Title,” said Narayan.

Promoter Naroon Buksh highlighted the talent and excitement of the upcoming matches, including a highly anticipated fight in the female division between Sera Bolatini and Connie Chan of Australia.

“One to look out for is the match in the female division which is Sera Bolatini who will be fighting Connie Chan of Australia,” said Buksh.

“This will be a title fight for Sera, they will be fighting in the super welter weight title for the WBA Oceania title, which is a big opportunity for Sera to further take a step up in her boxing journey.”

Buksh emphasising the quality of all the fights on the card. With the support of sponsors ZEG Investments, the event is made possible, and thanks were extended to them for their contribution to local boxing in Fiji.

“The hype is very great, all my fights are good, we got four title fights, all under cards fight are great so we just looking forward for the main day.”

Fans are encouraged to purchase their tickets early to ensure they don’t miss out on witnessing some incredible boxing action.

In addition to the main event, other title fights include Mikaele Ravalaca against John Ingram for the NZPBF Oriental Pac Super Feather Weight title, and James Singh taking on Semi Daloloma for the BCF Heavyweight title.
