Fiji swimmers top 100 meters breaststroke heats event, through to the finals

22-year-old Samuel Yalimaiwai and 18-year-old Kelera Mudunasoko have both qualified for the 100 meters breaststroke final this afternoon at 5pm.

Clocking a time of 1.02.67 and 1.14.20 respectively, the two athletes are currently the fastest in their individual categories.

Yalimai also set a national record yesterday and won gold in the men’s 50 metres breaststroke clocking a time of 27.74 seconds.

While, Kelera Mudunasoko won gold in the women’s 50 metres breaststroke clocking a time of 32.62 seconds, securing Fiji’s second gold medal.
