Listen to this article:

Fourth accused in the 4.15 methamphetamine drug trial, Ratu Aporosa Davelevu took the stand at the Lautoka High Court this morning.

Davelevu told the court he was deported from Australia on October 10, 2017, because of driving charges against him.

The Saweni resident in Lautoka claims he had met co-accused Justin Ho on a few occasions at the nightclub.

Davelevu said on December 29,2023, he and a cousin of his decided to have their hair cut at the barber shop owned by Mr Ho in Denarau, Nadi.

Davelevu said it was on this particular day that Mr Ho had asked him if he could drive manual and to drive a sealed truck to the Motorex warehouse.

He claims that he was paid FJD $200 and received the money from co-accused Louie Logaivau, who he alleged that was directing the movement of the truck at Motorex.

The sixth accused, Jale Aukerea, is also taking the stand at this hour.
