The Fiji Football Association, in partnership with FIFA and the Ministry of Education, has expanded its grassroots football initiatives by introducing the FIFA Football for Schools (F4S) curriculum to primary schools in the Bua Province.
Dama Primary School and Coboi Primary School were the first schools to benefit from this new program.
The F4S program is part of FIFA’s global ‘Football for Schools’ initiative, which aims to make football more accessible to young children by integrating it into the school curriculum.
In addition to promoting physical health, the program focuses on developing important life skills such as teamwork, respect, and leadership through fun and engaging football activities.
As part of the expansion, Dama and Coboi Primary Schools received footballs and training equipment from FIFA.
Teachers also underwent specialized training to effectively implement the F4S digital curriculum.
