A man who entered the residence of the Prime Minister on Saturday without authority has been charged with one count of criminal trespass.
He will produced in the Suva Magistrates Court today.
The incident took place on Saturday when the man, believed to be from Mokani village in Tailevu, was initially turned away by Police officers at the main gate.
“He had no prior appointment or clearance and was later arrested when he had gained entry from the back of the compound,” said Commissioner of Police, Rusiate Tudravu.
Mr Tudravu added he has directed an investigation into the breach.
