Fiji rugby sevens sensation Jerry Tuwai will no longer be able to compete in the Rugby Premier League in India due to a knee injury.
Representing the Mumbai Dreamers, Tuwai’s absence was felt in their recent 12-19 loss to the Hyderabad Heroes.
Despite this setback, his teammate Waisea Nacuqu will continue to compete.
In the Hyderabad Heroes team, players like Terio Tamani and Joji Nasova have been instrumental in their team’s success.
Tuwai expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to participate in the Rugby Premier League in India.
“It is a blessing for me to be here at the Rugby Premier League in India,” said Tuwai.
“Unfortunately, I have to leave so soon, due to my knee injury, and I apologise to the Mumbai Dreamers fans, and thank them (fans) for coming in numbers to support the team.”
The competition in India is ongoing, providing Fijian players to experience to play alongside some of the best in the sport from other nations.
