Over 86,000 visitors flocked to Fiji in May

The Fiji Bureau of Statistics has reported 86,587 tourists came to Fiji in May.

This was an increase of 7.7 percent when compared to April 2025, which recorded a total of 80,363 arrivals.

Of the 86,587 visitors, 84,250 came by air while 2,337 came by sea. The sea arrivals were mostly seamen on fishing vessels (1,835) and 502 arrivals by yacht.

For May 2025 visitors arriving for holiday purposes accounted for 79.5% of total arrivals, 7.0% came to visit their friends or relatives, 2.6% came for business purposes, while 10.9% visited Fiji for other reasons.

38,632 Australians came to Fiji in May, New Zealanders accounted for 19,613,   11,418 came from United States, 2,882 arrived from Continental Europe, 2,377 came from China, 1,889 Canadians and 1,175 from United Kingdom came to Fiji last month.
