The Fiji Football Association (Fiji FA) has earned a global recognition for claiming the Bronze Award at the inaugural FIFA Forward Awards, which took place during the FIFA Executive Football Summit 2025 in Miami.

The award recognises Fiji FA’s significant role in enhancing football infrastructure development in the Oceania region through the FIFA Forward Programme.

The FIFA Forward Awards aim to acknowledge and showcase exceptional football infrastructure projects undertaken by Oceania Member Associations, promoting long-term football development and fostering collaboration within the global football community.

Fiji FA’s infrastructure project at the Labasa Academy stood out among a competitive pool of submissions, securing the third spot.

Fiji FA president Rajesh Patel expressed his pride in this recognition, highlighting the association’s dedication to improving the sport nationwide, from grassroots to elite levels.

“This is a proud moment for Fiji. The Bronze Award reflects our relentless efforts to develop the game across the country, from grassroots to elite football.

“We thank FIFA for their continued support through the Forward Programme.”

This achievement underlines Fiji FA’s commitment to advancing football in the region and signifies a significant milestone in their journey towards promoting excellence in the sport.
