Fiji 7s Olympic gold medalists Jerry Tuwai and Waisea Nacuqu have donned the red and white jersey of the Mumbai Dreamers in the Rugby Premier League in India.
The duo are part of seven Fiji 7s players who are playing in the Premier League, and played in their first match against the Chennai Bulls, losing 5-24.
Tuwai is also the co-vice-captain for the Dreamers, taking up the role alongside Elias Hancock of Canada.
Nacuqu has been given the moniker ‘Wasooli Bhai’ or ‘Game Breaker’.
Other Fijian players in the league are Terio Tamani and Joji Nasova Joseva Talacolo and Filipe Sauturaga for the Chennai Bulls and Iowane Teba for the Bengaluru Bravehearts.
Former Fiji 7s head coach Ben Gollings coaches the Bulls while All Blacks 7s head coach Tomasi Cama Jr coaches the Delhi Redz.
