Students of Nadroga Arya College took part in only their second cadet passing-out parade in Sigatoka last Friday.
Despite the scorching western heat, the students braved the elements to display military routines with precision taught over the course of several weeks by Republic of Fiji Military Force instructors.
Students walking away with honours included: Jokaveti Grace Kamoro for Most Improved Female Cadet, Soropepeli Vuniyayawa for Most Improved Male Cadet, Livia Raitala for Best Detachment Commander and Parade Commander Qaunawa Waqatabu who was awarded the Overall Baton of Honour.
The Most Disciplined Detachment went to Number 3 while Best Detachment in Drill went to Number 1.
While officiating the event, Commissioner of Police Rusiate Tudravu called on the cadets to respect the rule of law and listen to authority.
