The Lilian Amazon Women’s 7s team is ready to carry forward the momentum and lessons from their strong finish in the second leg as they gear up for the third leg of the Women’s LIT 7s Series in the UK.
Head coach Tirani Uluinakauvadra says the players are in high spirits and have quickly adapted to the new environment, gaining valuable experience and enjoying every moment of their UK tour.
“The girls are enjoying themselves in the UK, both on and off the field.
“The exposure they’re getting, especially playing against top players from Great Britain, Wales, and Scotland, is helping them grow in confidence and skill,” Uluinakauvadra said.
Lilian Amazon narrowly lost 17–14 to Shogun in the main cup final of the second leg in Shelford a match that showcased their fighting spirit and potential on the international stage.
As they now turn their attention to the third leg, Uluinakauvadra said the focus is on building consistency, improving combinations, and continuing to compete at a high level.
“This tour is not just about winning trophies, it’s about development,” he added.
“Each game is a chance to grow, and we’re taking the positives from our last performance into this next leg.”
The team continues to receive support from the Fijian community in the UK and back home.
