Justin Ho, a key accused charged in the importation of 4.1 tonnes of methamphetamine into Fiji in 2024, tried to flee the country yesterday.

This has been confirmed by Police spokesperson, Wame Boutolu last night.

He said the police will release more details today.

Mr Ho is alleged to have boarded a yacht in the Momi, Nadi area yesterday and made an attempt to flee Fiji.

Sources confirm he has breached his bail conditions by moving out of the Lautoka district and maybe produced in court today.

As part of his current bail conditions, Mr Ho has paid $15,000 in bond, is required to report to the Lautoka Police Station each week, not to leave Lautoka and a stop departure order is also in place.

When the 4.1 tonnes of meth were initially detected in January 2024, Mr Ho had made an attempt to flee to Wallis and Futuna and was nabbed near Taveuni.
