A tertiary student, believed to have fallen and injured herself during a hike at Mount Korobaba was rescued over the weekend.
Police said a team from Lami Police Station and the National Fire Authority rescued the 26- year- old tertiary student last Saturday from the muddy trails of Mount Korobaba.
“It was alleged that the victim fell and injured her thigh during a hiking trip with her three colleagues,” police said.
“A distress call was received by the Police Command and Coordination Center (PCCC), from one of the hiking members and a team of police together with NFA executed rescue and located them at the middle foot track of Mt Korobaba.
“She was conveyed to Lami Health Center for medical attention and later sent home.”
