IN a bid to foster teamwork and promote environmental sustainability, staff members of Fijian Holdings Ltd (FHL) and its subsidiaries — Merchant Finance Ltd, FHL Properties Ltd, and Fijian Holdings Unit Trust — gathered on Saturday for a clean-up campaign along the Suva foreshore.
The initiative, part of FHL Group’s ongoing corporate social responsibility (CSR) eff orts, involved a coastal clean-up from Suva Point to Albert Park.
The campaign not only contributed to a cleaner environment but also fostered teamwork and strengthened inter-company collaboration.
FHL representative Sitiveni Koya said their main objective was to elevate cleanliness and hygiene benchmarks, especially in the city areas.
“FHL wants to take part in the clean-up campaign, especially in our city area, to uplift the standard of cleanliness,” Mr Koya said.
“It’s our CSR responsibility whereby we do a cleanup along the foreshore, and we are glad that we are doing this today.”
In collaboration with the Suva City Council, the event concluded with a morning tea hosted at the Albert Park Hall, acknowledging the shared commitment to a cleaner and greener Suva.
Mr Koya said FHL remained committed to sustainable development and will continue to support initiatives that positively impact the environment and the communities it serves.
