Soldiers from the Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF) will join 30,000 personnel from 19 nations in Exercise Talisman Sabre 2025.

It will be held from July 13 to August 4 and is the largest multinational military training activity ever conducted in Australia.

Exercise Talisman Sabre 2025 will involve activities spread across Australia and, for the first time, in Papua New Guinea, aligning with its 50th Anniversary of Independence.

“Our participation in Exercise Talisman Sabre 2025 is a testament to the RFMF’s growing ability to operate alongside our regional allies in complex, joint military environments,” said Commander RFMF Major General Jone Kalouniwai.

“This engagement reflects our unwavering commitment to maintaining security, stability, and cooperation within the Pacific region.”

Participating countries include Australia, the United States, Canada, Fiji, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Japan, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Papua New Guinea, the Philippines, the Republic of Korea, Singapore, Thailand, Tonga, and the United Kingdom, with Brunei, Malaysia, and Vietnam attending as observers.
