Two new Permanent Secretaries appointed by PSC

Retired career police officer, Berenado Daveta has been appointed as the new Permanent Secretary Policing.

Aliki Salusalu is the new Permanent Secretary Immigration.

Both announcements were made by the Chairman Public Service Commission, Luke Rokovada.

Mr Daveta was a Director Special Branch in the Fiji Police Force, Chief of Staff Divisional Police Commander South, Force Contingent Commander in the UN Mission in Darfur, Sudan. He is currently Senior Consultant with the United Nations Development Program in Suva.

Mr Salusalu has a bachelor’s degree with distinction in Computer Engineering and Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree with honours from the University of Western Sydney, Australia. He is a professional member of the Institute of Engineers in Australia.

He was the Director of ITC Services with the Fiji Government for five years from 2007 – 2012. He served as Counsellor with the Fiji Diplomatic Mission in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

Mr Daveta assumes today while Mr Salusalu will start from middle of June, 2025.
