The Ba football women’s team will face Papua New Guinea champions Hekari United in the semi-final of the OFC Women’s Champions League in Tahiti.

The two teams will square off tomorrow at 9am in the first semi-final fixture.

Ba had to await its opponent from Group B after beating Tupapa Maraerenga FC 3-1 in their second Group A match last Sunday.

Hekari United just needed a draw to see them through as the runner-up from Group B.

They showed their dominance to beat AS Pirae 2-0 on Monday and set up a semi-final encounter against the Fijian side.

It will be a special showing for Fijian internationals Adi Litia Bakaniceva and Maria Veronika who will be featuring for Hekari United.

Their presence in the opposite team will add a sense of familiarity and rivalry for the Fijian champions.

Meanwhile, in the first semi-final Auckland United will face Henderson Eels.

The final is scheduled for Sunday.
