CAPTAIN Cook Cruises Fiji have expanded their day cruises to Kadavu Lailai Beach scheduled for June 1.
Company executive chair Allison Haworth revealed this at the Fiji Tourism Exchange (FTE) 2025 Consumer Media Program at the Sheraton Fiji Golf & Beach Resort on Denarau, Nadi yesterday.
“At the beginning of next month we will move our day sale to Kadavu Lailai Beach,” Ms Haworth said.
“Kadavu Lailai Island is the traditional name for Bounty Island which is not far from Denarau. So the reason is we have a very large part of the beach area on the island for our exclusive use, for our guests.
“And seamlessly move our operation over there.
“So the experience will remain very similar, same inclusions, same prices, same departure times, same experience, service levels but just a new location.
“We have a lot of Fijian entertainment and briefings and things that go on as they are going in and out and having that sailing experience.”
Ms Haworth said many people joined their cruises, because of the sailing experience.
“But we feel that the shorter travel time is a benefit, so that is a good thing.
“We have also added the in the optional extra of going to treasure sand cave, which is not very far away, and we’ll come at a small extra charge to guests.”
New itinerary refresh update:
- New day sail location from June 1, 2025;
- Kadavu Lailai private beach in the Mamanuca Islands;
- Current inclusions continue with multiple additions and enhancements; and
- CCC’s pioneering marine science and sustainability program even further enhanced.
Key differences to note in refreshed itinerary:
Current Tivua Private Island experience structure remains in place until the end of May.
From June 1, pricing, timing, transfers, activities and inclusions remain the same.
Sailing time — about one hour each way from Denarau-allowing about five hours on the island.
Expanded marine sustainability program — building on CCC’s pioneering program, an additional marine biologist with even more opportunity for guests to have access to and participate in greatly expanded reef sustainability activities and education.
Optional side trip to nearby Treasure Sand Bar for snorkeling and coral viewing (extra cost of FJD $35 per person and is commissionable.
