ANZ-iTaukei Affairs Board partnership formalised

ANZ Fiji has formalised its ongoing partnership to deliver essential financial education to local businesses, entrepreneurs and farmers, following a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) it signed with the Itaukei Affairs Board (TAB) recently.

A statement from ANZ emphasised that the TAB ensures the good governance and wellbeing of the iTaukei people, protecting development highlighting that it administers 14 provincial councils, overseeing 189 districts and 1181 village councils.

“Through this partnership, ANZ Fiji aims to equip local business people and farmers with vital money management skills, enabling them to make informed financial decisions and maximise the benefits of their businesses or employment.

“To date, ANZ has delivered financial education to over 7000 Fijians, with this number continuing to grow,” it stated.

Signing the MoU, TAB acting permanent secretary Jone Navakamocea expressed his delighted in collaborating with ANZ to boost local business and farmers with financial skills.

“We are delighted to partner with ANZ Fiji to empower our local businesses and farmers with essential financial skills.

“This collaboration is a significant step towards ensuring the economic prosperity and well-being of the iTaukei community.

“Together, we are building a stronger, more financially literate future for our people,” Mr Navakamocea said.

Additionally, ANZ Fiji country head Rabih Yazbek shared his gratitude towards to formalisation of the partnership with TAB.

“We are proud to formalise our partnership with the iTaukei Affairs Board.

“This MOU underscores our commitment to supporting the financial well-being of Fijian businesses and farmers.

“By equipping them with essential money management skills, we are helping them grow their businesses and build a better future for themselves and their families.

ANZ Fiji further stated that they are proud to continue supporting the financial well-being of Fijians and looks forward to the continued success of this partnership.
