A heavy rain warning is now in force for the whole of Fiji group, states the Nadi weather office.
A trough of low pressure with the associated clouds and rain currently affects the country.
There will be occasional rain, heavy at times and few thunderstorms over most places until late Sunday.
Isolated heavy falls may lead to flash flooding of low lying and flood prone areas.
These includes some low-lying informal settlements, communities, businesses and iris crossing leading to disruption to traffic flow.
There will also be surface flooding on streets, particularly in urban areas with poor drainage system.
