The Fiji Labour Party is gearing up for the upcoming elections, with party leader Mahendra Chaudhry declaring that it’s time for a change in leadership.

He said the party was focusing on strengthening its grassroots structures and gathering key information to ensure a successful campaign.

“We’re preparing seriously for the elections because we believe we need to change the Government,” he said, adding that the current administration has failed to address critical issues facing the country.

“Since 2022, we’ve jumped from the frying pan into the fire. We need to rescue this country before things get worse, more poverty, more unemployment, more crime, and more out-migration.”

The former prime minister said under this administration, many people felt that their concerns had been ignored.

“Everything is going wrong under this government. We can’t afford to let this continue.”

The Labour Party is determined to present itself as the solution to Fiji’s growing challenges, with Mr Chaudhry promising a comprehensive plan to address the nation’s most pressing issues.

“We will bring real change. We will put people first, and we will work to make Fiji a better place for everyone.”
