Kadavu Provincial Secondary School held its first-ever cadet passing out parade on Wednesday.

The Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF) Land Force Command, Chief of Staff, Colonel Penioni Naliva was the chief guest.

In his address to the cadets, Col Naliva emphasised the importance of discipline and education in shaping future leaders.

“If each cadet upholds discipline and pursues a good education, they will be equipped to tackle the major issues facing our nation today,” he said.

He also raised concern over the rise in drug use and violence among young people.

“These issues, particularly among teenagers, remain some of the country’s major challenges.”

Col Naliva stressed that the cadet program plays a crucial role in addressing these problems.
