Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka has urged men in Fiji to be a man.
In light of recent domestic violence cases reported to police over the weekend, Mr Rabuka has called on men to ‘man up’.
“Man up and face your responsibilities as carers and defenders of your families,” he said.
“Real men do not hit women.”
Three people died over the weekend which included Sainimere Tuinasakea, allegedly stabbed by her husband Paula Kafoa who is believed to have committed suicide after the alleged incident.
The third involves a woman from Nadi who was allegedly assaulted by her partner.
