FIJI Airports paid $30,564 to its three directors for their services during the 2022 financial year, states its annual report for 2022 that was tabled in Parliament on Monday.
A further sum of $11,632 was paid to the directors as other expenses, mainly for travel and accommodation that were incurred during the course of their duties.
In the annual report, only Hasmukh Lal and Viliame Vodonaivalu are listed as board directors of Fiji Airports in 2022.
“As of 31st December 2022 the board comprises the chairperson Mr Hasmukh Patel, and one non-executive independent director, Mr Viliame Vodonaivalu,” states the annual report.
Another director, Nemia Dawai, resigned in October 2022.
“Mr Hasmukh Patel was appointed to the board in February 2021 and was appointed as chairperson in June 2022.”
The Ministry for Economy, Civil Service and Communications appoints the directors.
“Under the articles of Fiji Airports, the maximum number of directors are seven unless otherwise specified by the Ministry for Economy, Civil Service and Communications.”
