A family in United Kingdom is trying to locate a Fijian man whose pencil painted portrait has been drawn by their 16-year-old son.
Cruz Morris took the picture of the iTaukei man around April 1st at a village near the Biausevu waterfalls, off the Naviti Resort.
He was at the village to present a sevusevu before going to the waterfall.
“He met some amazing people he did get lots of photographs and one he has turned into a portrait,” said Sarah Morris, the mother of Cruz in a message to The Fiji Times.
“We are trying to track down the man he has drawn. If you could help my son, he just wanted to show it to him and thank him for allowing him to be photographed.
The painting was done by hand and in all pencil by Cruz Morris over 32 hours.
He is an art student at a college in the UK
“Cruz’s ambition is to become a portrait artist, and he is working hard to progress in his work and coming to Fiji and seeing all the different cultural traditions has given him so much motivation.”
Anyone knowing the identity of the individual can contact Sarah Morris on Sarahlou_spink@icloud.com or can post the same in the comments section below.
