Government is looking for Heads of Missions at Fiji’s Foreign Missions in Geneva, Jakarta and Wellington.
Luke Daunivalu is the current Permanent Representative of Fiji to the United Nations Office and other International Organizations in Geneva while Amenatave Yauvoli is the current Ambassador in Jakarta.
Ratu Inoke Kubuabola has recently retired as High Commissioner in Wellington.
In an vacancy advertisement, Ministry of Foreign Affairs states the Head of Mission is responsible for advancing Fiji’s foreign policy interest in the bilateral platforms for the region and the relevant Mission.
Those applying must have a proven leadership in Fiji’s private or public sector and have a sound appreciation and understanding of foreign policy making and the foreign policy direction of the government.
