THE Vodafone Fijiana XV squad for the upcoming Rugby World Cup high-performance camp has been named, with most players coming from top-level competitions such as Super W and Aupiki.
Fiji Rugby confirmed this in a statement announcing the team selected to begin preparations for the tournament in England later this year.
Head coach Ioan Cunningham said the camp is the first step in preparing for the World Cup.
“This camp is a critical first step in building the roadmap for our campaign,” Cunningham said.
He added that while there is a lot of potential and skill in the group, they are aware of the hard work needed to match the top teams in the world.
The squad features experienced internationals along with new faces, including several players from the Fijian Drua, Chiefs Manawa and New Zealand club rugby.
