REWA football Club came from behind to stun Lautoka 3-1 in an exciting Extra Premier League match at Churchill Park on Friday night.
Lautoka had a strong start and took an early lead through veteran striker Zibraaz Sahib, whose first-half goal had the home fans buzzing. The Sugar City side went into the break leading 1-0, looking confident and composed.
However, the second half told a completely different story. Rewa returned from the tunnel with renewed purpose and a well-executed game plan. Their passes became sharper, their attacks more aggressive, and they began to dominate possession to seal a 3-1 victory, leaving Lautoka with plenty of questions to answer.
Rewa will now shift focus quickly as they prepare to host Suva at Ratu Cakobau Park today. With confidence high, they’ll be aiming to make it two wins from two in this busy weekend.
Elsewhere today, Nadroga FC will face Nasinu at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka. Nadroga will be hoping to use their home ground advantage to bounce back, while Nasinu eyes an away victory to move up the ladder.
At the Uprising Sports Center in Pacific Harbour, Navua will take on Tavua in a match expected to be tightly contested as both teams battle for crucial points in their campaign. In Nadi, Prince Charles Park will host one of the weekend’s most anticipated games as the high-flying Nadi FC welcomes Labasa FC. With both sides in strong form, fans can expect a thrilling contest.
