A DOUBLE header, for the price of one, will see the Fijian Drua and the Fiji Rugby Union (FRU) partner up in having two matches on Saturday, May 3 at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.

The Vodafone Fijiana XV will play against the Wallaroos of Australia at 5pm, right after the round 12 Super Rugby Pacific match between the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua against the Queensland Reds, which kicks off at 2.05pm.

FRU women’s high performance manager Alana Thomas relayed her enthusiasm at the joint venture, which will see both teams engage in marketing and fan events together.

“This Test is another momentous occasion, it is our 42nd Test for the Vodafone Fijiana and 12th Test on home soil,” Thomas said.

“I think it is a good opportunity for our team to start this year’s campaign strongly.”

The Drua’s general manager commercial Shane Hussein shared similar sentiments and ironed out what was in store for those turning up to the double header next month.

“It will be a fantastic atmosphere on matchday, with heaps of activations, engagement, entertainment and giveaways for fans,” Hussein told the media.

“It makes for a great afternoon of highly quality rugby for the whole family.”

Meanwhile, tickets for the double fixture will be at the same price as a standalone Drua match.

Ticket prices will start from $25 on the grass embankment, $40 on the concrete embankment and the grandstand seats starting at $75 and upwards.

This is also the first of three Test matches for the Fijiana XV in the lead-up to the Women’s Rugby World Cup in England this year.
