Biosecurity (Infested Controlled Areas) Order 2025 has been issued for Ba, Labasa, Lautoka and Nadi for Asian Subterranean Termites
In a gazette dated April 4, Prime Minister and Minister for Public Enterprises, Sitiveni Rabuka authorised the regulation section 70(1) of the Biosecurity Act 2008.
Under the order, it is prohibited to move any material hosting the Asian Subterranean Termites.
These includes nests, soil, potted plants, wood, logs, timber, lumber, kindling, planks, wooden building materials, wooden furniture, live plants, harvested host plants.
