GUEST speaker Bishop Tony Miller has pledged to give $US25,000 ($F50,545) to the Christian Mission Fellowship International (CMFI) for the church missions in Africa. Mr Miller is the founder of Destiny World Outreach in the US, which is a national and international ministry with an emphasis on training and equipping 21st century leaders, both in churches and the marketplace.
CMFI media spokesman Pastor Manasa Kolivuso said Mr Miller made the revelation while preaching during the church conference last Wednesday night.
He said CMFI and Mr Miller’s ministry had a working relationship and “he is a good friend of CMFI who has been a speaker for the conference for four years”.
“He actually was here during the groundbreaking ceremony of this building (World Harvest Centre) and even before that.
“It’s been a long time since we invited him back and of course he knows what we have been doing and missionaries we have been sending and he has a heart for Africa.
“He pledged to give this church $US25,000 for missions in Africa; it’s not something that we asked for, it’s something the Lord stirred in his heart and voluntarily pledged that amount to give to our missions department.”
Mr Kolivuso said all missionaries of the church were fully supported from home, Fiji through their church members and covenant partners.
