A 45-year-old man, Ronal Karan, was killed in an accident today in Varavu, Ba, leaving the local community in shock and mourning.
The incident happened around 4:00pm as Mr Karan was attempting to cross the road to meet his daughter at a nearby shop.
Resident Jai Prakash is calling on the government and relevant authorities to urgently build speed humps in on the highway where the accident took place.
He added with speeding vehicles, it has become increasingly dangerous for pedestrians to cross the road.
