Liverpool moved within two wins of clinching the English Premier League title after a 2-1 victory over West Ham United yesterday.

Mohamed Salah celebrated his new contract by setting a record for most goal involvements in a season, assisting Luis Diaz’s opener.

Virgil van Dijk scored a late winner, lifting Liverpool 13 points clear at the top.

Meanwhile, Manchester United’s woes deepened with a 4-1 defeat to Newcastle United, marking their 14th league loss this season, equaling their worst campaign since 1989–90.

Despite coach Eddie Howe’s absence due to illness, Newcastle impressed with goals from Sandro Tonali, Harvey Barnes (2), and Bruno Guimaraes, climbing to fourth in the standings. Alejandro Garnacho scored United’s only goal.

Chelsea were held to a 2-2 draw at home by struggling Ipswich Town, while Tottenham’s defensive errors saw them fall 4-2 to Wolverhampton Wanderers.
