League teams gear up for semi-finals

THE Vodafone South and Eastern Zone Secondary School Rugby League competition is gearing up for an intense semi-final showdown this weekend, following a successful quarter-final round.

Fiji Secondary Schools Rugby League Marketing, Sponsorship, and Media Officer Lai Corerega noted that top teams like defending champions Naitasiri Secondary School, QVS, RKS, and Nasinu have all maintained their winning streak from the Pool Games.

“In the under-17 and under-15 grades, teams like Lelean, Naitasiri, Nasinu, MBHS, MGM, and Vashist Muni College have put up strong performances, setting the stage for thrilling matches in the upcoming semi-finals,” said Corerega.

“The semi-final competition promises to be fierce, with standout teams like Naitasiri, MBHS, MGM, and Vashist Muni College expected to deliver a high level of rugby league action.”

Fans are encouraged to show their support by attending the games in numbers and cheering on their favorite teams.

The battles for positions in the National Quarter Finals are expected to be intense, with teams from both the South and Eastern zones and Western vying for a chance to compete at the national level.

The South and Eastern Zone Secondary School Rugby League competition will be held on Saturday at Saint Marcellin Primary School ground.
