Ms Jiuta said she is excited to rejoin FCCC.
“FCCC’s role is crucial in balancing consumer protection with fostering competitive and fair market practices is central to Fiji’s economic well-being,” she said.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade, Co-operatives, Small and Medium Enterprises, and Communications, Manoa Kamikamica has welcomed the appointment of Ms Jiuta.
“As markets evolve and new challenges emerge, her expertise will be invaluable in driving forward consumer protection, fair competition, and sustainable economic practices for the benefit of all Fijians,” he said.
Prior to her new appointment, Ms Jiuta served as a Resident Magistrate, where she adjudicated a wide range of civil, criminal, and family law matters.
Before that role, she held senior leadership roles at FCCC, including Manager Legal, Risk Management, and Governance and General Manager Operations.
