Spain avenged their pool game defeat by Fiji, beating them 22-7 in the third-place play-off for the Vancouver 7s this afternoon.
Fiji defeated Spain 26-21 in their last pool match yesterday.
Fiji’s lone try on the scoreboard was placed in by Joseva Talacolo with a conversion made by Terio Veilawa.
Spain added three tries by Manu Moreno, Jeremy Trevithick and Jaime Manteca with a conversion by Juan Ramos.
Meanwhile, the Fijiana 7s team will face New Zealand in the cup final at 1.41pm.
