An ethanol mill could only be built in Fiji if cane production increases, says Minister for Sugar Charan Jeath Singh.
In a press conference this morning, Mr Singh said they had a lot of plans to revamp the industry but it needed to be established wisely.
“The plans are still there but we want to make sure that we have enough cane to supply the ethanol mill and even refinery,” he said.
“I as a businessman like to make sure we are throwing money in the right place so money is used well.”
