Private hospital slashes GP fees

OCEANIA Hospitals this week announced a reduction in its GP consultation fees in a bid to make healthcare more affordable.

The fees have been reduced by up to 50 per cent, an adjustment that it said reflected its dedication to “making healthcare more affordable for our community while maintaining the highest standards of service.”

“At Oceania Hospitals, we believe that quality healthcare should be within reach for all, and this step is just one of the many ways we are working to support the health and well-being of you and your family,” the private hospital said in a statement.

“We are constantly exploring ways to enhance our services and make healthcare more accessible without compromising on quality,” the company said.

Effective Monday February 3, the new fees are:

Normal Consultation: $17.50 a patient.

Review: $13.50 a patient.
