Melbourne-based golfer Pravin Singh is confident of a strong showing at the GM Motors Fiji Classic this June at Denarau Golf & Racquet Club.
Singh, who won the Victorian Fiji Golf Open at Club Mandalay in January, is no stranger to the competitive golf scene. An ardent golfer, he is also a key supporter of the Fiji Classic through his logistics company, Biz Logistics, which operates in both Nadi and Melbourne, specialising in global freight solutions.
“Biz Logistics is proud to be associated with the Fiji Classic for the second straight year, and we will continue to support the event. Fiji holds a special place in my heart, having been born here,” Singh said.
The Fiji Classic continues to attract a high-calibre field, with amateur and professional golfers competing for top honours. This year’s tournament offers amateur golfers a unique opportunity to earn world ranking points.
Adish Kumar, the defending amateur champion from Melbourne, is set to return and defend his title.
In the professional division, Vikrant Chandra will look to retain his crown, with a total prize purse of $20,000 up for grabs in 2025.
Meanwhile, in the ladies’ division, Melbourne-based Kanchan Rup is the defending champion.
With a field size of 150 players, the tournament is nearing capacity, with 135 spots already filled as of January 31.
The GM Motors Fiji Classic is backed by major sponsor GM Motors and supported by Vodafone Fiji, BSP, Fletcher Higgins, Biz Logistics, G Tech, Fiji Airways, Propack, Fiji Water, Coca-Cola, Bula Birdie, and Sheraton Fiji Golf & Beach Resort.
With a strong lineup of players and sponsors, the 2025 Fiji Classic promises to be an exciting event, further cementing Fiji’s reputation as a premier golf destination.
