(Reuters) – Australian airline Virgin Australia said on Thursday that it was aware of an incident on New Year’s Eve involving its crew members in Nadi, Fiji.

“We confirm police are investigating the Australian airline crew case as they were victims of theft and of allegations of rape after clubbing,” Acting Commissioner of Police Juki Fong Chew told the Fiji Sun newspaper.

Virgin Australia did not provide further details of the incident in a statement to Reuters. Chew did not respond immediately to a request for comment.
