Caroline Pickering has been appointed as the new Director of the Fiji Intelligence Unit (FIU).
She takes up the position from 1 January, 2025 and replaces Mr Razim Buksh.
The Director of the Fiji FIU is appointed by the Governor of the Reserve Bank of Fiji on the recommendation of the National Anti-Money Laundering Council.
“I am confident that Ms Caroline Pickering is the best person to successfully lead the Fiji FIU into its next growth stage,” said RBF Governor, Ariff Ali.
“She has over 25 years of professional experience and expertise as well as strategic leadership capabilities needed to drive the Unit to deliver results in Fiji’s increasingly digital financial landscape, as well as, work with its diverse range of partners in Government and the private sector.”
She is an accounting and economics graduate of the University of the South Pacific and is a member of the Fiji Institute of Chartered Accountants.
